This has been a looong week for me.. More so mentally than physically. This is because i went to camp on Monday happily thinking that I would have next week off cuz my boss would be in Japan. However, he cancelled his trip la! Which means i cannot disappear from camp! Ok, not only this, i was also told that i had to go for exercise with him on wed thurs and fri at the last min! Grrrr......

With that out of the way, i co-own a car now!! Haha! Ya.. i contributed an insignificant amount, but that is because i would hardly use it. It's a Honda Civic esi 91. Black BUT with lots of designs and modification stuff. Very very very Ah beng! This is the closest i've gotten to with being associated with Ah Bengs. The car's a manual car though.. but it really feels sporty.. Esp when i drive it.

I juz came back from a car spin with Louiza. We went to the airport to hang around again! Haha! Last time was approx a year ago la.. And i gave her her long overdued present which i was supposed to prepare on Thurs but cuz of last min stupid exercise.......... I think the final product of the present is nice. Photos and descriptions etc.. Sweet. =)

Yup.. i'm blogging again. I'm really blogging quite regularly these days.. haha..

I've lost my voice. Oops.. I dunno how it happened la! My throat hurts when i speak. HOWEVER, amazingly, where i use my "singing voice" or more aptly, sing, my voice is still there. Weird huh.. I think so too. Hopefully it'll heal within 2 or 3 days la.

I mentioned about creating a song right. Yup.. I've recorded the verse down w/o the chorus. This is cuz i cant get the correct lyrics for the chorus, and cant figure out a suitable melody for the 2nd part of the chorus. I've only got the first half of the chorus in mind. I love the tune of it though.. haha! The song from the intro musical, to the verse 1 and verse 2 with more punch. Lots of people say that the tune is nice, and nicer than my first! =) I agree too.. cuz i thought my first was too old-fashioned and not modern enough. But because of this comments and feedback thing, i got quite irritated with Jun and Bit. They juz refused to comment at all. I have no idea why. They're my closer or rather, closest friends, but they juz wouldnt say anything at all. Whereas those friends whom i hardly speak to give lots of comments and i enjoy all these comments good and bad. Anyway, because of this song, i spoke to shihui, and caught up a little. Afterall, it's really been some time since we spoke and we were rather close before.

Oh.. this juz came into mind. Since sec 3, i've made more closer girl than guy friends! Din realized it until recently. Most guy friends like those in army are not close. Since sec 3, my close(d) guy friends are vin =), yanzhu, chungchi, weekeat, and my mj205 guys. ONLY. Cant believe it too.. cuz i'd always thought i have more guy friends.

Anyway, shihui said this "joel ong.. how much have you changed?!" Thinking through.. I think it's very hard to answer that question even for myself! Throughout this 1.5yrs.. i've learnt so many things. Most obvious would be my license, vocal and keyboard. However!! I've learnt or am learning hapkido, sign language, cycling, blading, ice skating. I also learnt to start talking to people.. haha! I guess to really know how much i've changed, i've to meet up with those people i had not contacted since i enlisted. That is, all my friends who are in Uni now! Haha!

Yup.. Met up with Peiyi today. 2nd online friend. And i would stop here for the time-being. Otherwise i'll be too busy. Haha! =X

Anyway, we hung around orchard and watched the Secret. Jay's show. The plot was a little unexpected cuz i thought it would be a typical school-time love story. Turned out much better. There were very sweet scenes around too! Haha! But the touching scenes were either not touching enough, or there were many anti-climax moments.

About Peiyi.. hmm.. haha! I'm feeling the pressure cuz she'll be reading this i'm sure. Haha! Yes, she's short, but not THAT short la.. maybe she wore heels. One of the very very few ppl i know who CAN walk in heels with the right posture and not end up looking like a walking ostrich. Overall rather easy to talk to and get along with la..

Oh.. i composed another song. Or rather in the midst of composing it. I've got the rough tune and lyrics already. I think it's more modern den my first composition. This seems better. =D. However, the lyrics sucked still cuz my chinese is bad. I'm depending on peiyi to complete proper lyrics for me. Yay!!

Lastly.. I think i'm starting to blog more frequently now. My civilian lifestyle is coming back! Afterall, it's juz 6 (less than that) months of army left and that is a very short time!! =)

I juz came back from celebrating Louiza's birthday with her! This has been a loooon day and my eyes are so tired they are tearing as i am typing this.

Anyway, i picked her up at about 4 and we first went to the Red Dot Design Museum. It was a total disappointment cuz i thought they would have more exhibits on display. And even those exhibits on display were everyday items i could definitely find at say BEST! It was bad!

After a bad start, we went to the Museum of Shanghai Toys. It was interesting! Haha! At least we both enjoyed this place. The toys are sooo old! Way into our grandparents' time from European, China as well as Singapore too! Took some photos around that place. Interesting place i would recommend. It's only $3 for students! But i had to pay $5 cuz i'm no longer a student.. wait.. i shld rephrase that. But i had to pa $5 cuz i'd only be a student in a years' time!=D

We proceeded for dinner at Graze at Rochester park. For starters, we had the Tiger Prawns cooked in 3 different ways. And it was nothing short of FANTASTIC!!!! Look at the prawns below! OMG!! Fantastic! Haha! Might not look very good, but the taste of it... mmmmmm. Definitely the best dish tonight. Next was Shellfish Risotto for entree. Cheezy.. but oo much is gelat-ting. Haha! Had lots of shellfishes inside too. Esp the prawns. For mains we had some barramundi thingy with some mexican bean side dish and the ox cheek with mango and coconut rice. Both were not up to expectation. The fish was to fishy and plain while the ox cheek had a very strong cow smell which is no good. Both dishes were fushion dishes, and i think i'm not a real fan of fusion. Haha! Alright.. after the mains, the desset. Juz look at the pic. it explains all =D Oh.. had some lemon grass cocktail thing too.


Simpsons at AMK Hub after the extra full dinner. The jokes are english i can say. So ppl with poor command of english might not understand it all. Haha! Eh, my english is not bad ok. Notice my language standard in this entry compared to the previous feel.. I'm trying to revert back to using proper english in my blogs. Afterall, my english has deteriorated since enlistment cuz i do not use a lot of words in army. Hence, i'm not used to using more complicated words and i have to think for a while before the word reaches my tongue.

After Simpsons, It's the end. Haha! Mass took photos this time around.. and we took like 20 shots in the car alone la! Cuz none were good. Finally, we gt everything right and the photos are in my friendster!!
